“When the well’s dry, we know the worth of water.” – Benjamin Franklin
More people, less regulation, hotter climate, budget cuts, money more important than nature. We are betting against the house.
AmH2O is a long term project about the amazing variety, beauty and fragility of America’s oceans, rivers, lakes, bays, canals, reservoirs and other waterways shot over the last 10 years.
Water everywhere is made up of the same hydrogen and oxygen molecules but can seem very different when contained by beach or desert or forest or swamp or mountains. At a time when environmental protections are being stripped away, it helps to reflect on what is at stake as one zooms out and looks at the very different bodies of water across America that can be and are at risk and to contemplate that future.
